Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has one of the highest rates of suicide in the UK. Healthwatch Cornwall predict that the prevalence of all mental health disorders will increase.
Remote, hybrid, and lone working are now the norm for many, especially those employed in tech roles, potentially leading to feelings of isolation.
We have developed an event - Wellbeing in a Digital Age - to offer a holistic approach to understanding and supporting wellbeing.
Taking place at the Eden Project on 3 October (one week ahead of World Mental Health Day), it will be relevant for those working in the tech sector and beyond, as well as those not currently employed.
We are aiming to further breakdown the stigma surrounding mental health, illuminate the connection between mental and physical wellbeing, and indicate some ways to wellbeing (including highlighting how tech can be used to support wellbeing).
Intertwining performances and immersive workshops alongside talks, panel discussions and exhibitors, we hope to engage, inspire, empower, and connect.
Thanks to our part-funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund we can offer tickets to attend free of charge. But places are very limited. Email the Digital Futures team at digitalfutures@truro-penwith.ac.uk for more info if you'd like to be there.
To enable more people to benefit, the awesome team at CHAOS TV will be livestreaming the morning (all elements except the workshops).
