Digital Futures Cornwall is a collaborative project led by Truro and Penwith College with support from ten educational providers in Cornwall, and is part-funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund. Our partners include universities, tech companies and local government bodies who all provide expertise and resources to promote digital skills.

 

From foundation courses to advanced training programmes, each provider offers courses that support you whether you’re starting out on your digital journey or updating your existing toolkit. There’s a subject for every interest, view our courses here.

Delivery Partners

Truro & Penwith College

Provides a range of skills activities, including Digital Skills Modules, Programming, and User-Centered Design for upskilling and retraining. Business Skills Seminars focus on creating a more skilled, diverse, and inclusive workforce.

Cornwall Marine Network

Offers Sector-Specific Digital Skills for Business, catering to employees, leaders, and teachers/trainers. Digital Life Skills engage disadvantaged groups on a pathway to specialist digital courses, including FLOW awareness.

Digital Peninsula Network

Focuses on Digital Skills for Business, providing specialist topics for digital roles across all sectors. The Data AI Prompt Engineer offers an intensive course in prompt engineering, targeting underemployed individuals seeking career progression.

Falmouth University

Offers digital short courses in UX/UI Design, Creative Video Content, Consumer Market Behavior, and Digital Marketing. Targeted at underemployed individuals, career changers, and business leaders, these courses aim to enhance skills and facilitate career progression.

Real Ideas

Concentrates on immersive tech with activities like Createch for business, CPD, an immersive tech skills program, and Digital Natives focusing on workforce digital skills. Aimed at the Createch sector, non-tech business employees, and people moving into digital roles.

Step Into Learning

Offer Excel basic, intermediate and advanced courses catering especially to the unemployed, underemployed, career changers, and those seeking career progression. Also running tailored Excel courses developed in conjunction with Proud to Care Cornwall specifically for care sector staff.

Tech Cornwall

Implements a career switch program, Gateway into Tech, for those entering the tech sector. Educational outreach, Tech Jam, Build with AI, and Workshops & Masterclasses cater to various skill levels and roles within the tech industry.

TECwomen

Facilitates Digital Uplift, offering foundational knowledge, mentoring, and connections for women entering or upskilling in the tech sector. Digital Uplift Teachers upskills primary school teachers to deliver engaging computing curriculum, inspiring tech jobs.

University of Exeter

Conducts Executive Education in Digital Leadership to help leaders understand digital developments and navigate future activities, facilitating smoother digital transformations for their organisations.
